The Golf Course Hole-by-Hole Handicap Allocation Service
Make sure the golfers on your course can use their handicap strokes
where they need them the most!

For Public, Resort, and Other Non-Member-Based Courses*

For operators of public, resort, and other non-member-based courses, creating and maintaining an enjoyable golf experience that will bring golfers back again and again is a never-ending task. As part of these responsibilities, the golf course professional and the management team should always consider how the course handles its handicap stroke allocations.  After all, the correct hole-by-hole handicap rankings will enhance the players’ experience and enjoyment of the course. This consideration raises some questions, like:

Has it been five years or more since the last time the hole-by-hole handicap rankings were re-evaluated?

Have the course conditions changed in the last few years? For example, did the course rebuild some of its greens or bunkers? Have some of the trees grown enough to make some holes harder than they used to be?

Have your regular players recently told you that the course's handicap rankings don't seem to be set where they really need them?

Here's How We Can Help You.

Our statistical analysis will show you and your guests the proper allocation of handicap strokes on your golf course holes, based on recent actual scores.

For each ranking (Men's or Women's) we use a minimum of 500 scores that meet our criteria and give us a statistically valid sample.  From this database, we develop the appropriate comparison groups, and then determine the proper handicap stroke allocations.

You can easily retrieve the necessary scorecards from your playing guests. We provide small posters for this purpose that you can place in your pro shop, locker rooms, and cart pick up-drop off areas. You can ask your guests when they register to keep a double copy, and provide them with a collection box in the pro shop or golf cart drop off location. You can also have your starters or rangers ask the players for their assistance once they are on the course. You then simply send the scorecards to Hole By Hole, using the post-paid mailers we provide.

We then give you a full report that gives you all the information you need to answer your playing guests’ questions about the allocations.

Hole By Hole can calculate either or both the men’s and women’s handicap rankings, as you prefer. We honor all requests for confidentiality, and will return all scorecards to you if desired.

Added bonus report
for Stableford and Four-Ball Stroke Play!

We also provide you with an additional report, in which we show you the Hardest Hole Rankings of all 18 holes.  This report shows you the actual relative difficulty of the holes on your course. Your playing guests can then compare those results with their own experience.

The Hardest Hole Rankings can also be used for special tournaments, too. The USGA recently reported that some golf clubs prefer these rankings for Stableford competitions or four-ball stroke play.

What’s the fee for our service?

First-time clients qualify for an introductory rate of only $195.00 per 18-hole ranking, payable in two installments: an initial $100 payment allows us to begin the work, and the remaining $95 is due when our results are ready for delivery.

For golf course owners and management firms who order more than 5 rankings for 5 separate courses, a special discount is available.
